brighton town hall and the seahorse spring wedding
brighton town hall ceremony
The Regency Room is my total favourite in Brighton Town Hall. So much that we got married in it ourselves! It feels grand but not too grand, it’s the perfect size for a low-key day (46 guests plus the couple getting hitched) and it leads right out onto the street for that super fun confetti exit. Sophie (she/her) and Laura (she/her) got married here in Spring 2025 on one of the windiest days of the year. I was only with them for a couple of hours; meeting them for their ceremony and staying for an hour or so afterwards for some group shots and a stroll on the beach to the Seahorse. My goal here was simple: how many stories can I tell in just two hours of photography coverage?
Brighton beach carousel & the seahorse
Sophie and Laura were greeted at the end of the confetti aisle by their gorgeous pup ‘Arlo Barks’ who led that gang to the carousel on the beach. I loved this idea - guests followed along not quite knowing where they were going to end up and the bemused look of the carousel man’s face when we all rocked up was hilarious. The entire wedding party climbed onto the horses and wagons and I ran around them snapping away and making myself a little sea-sick in the process. All in the name of art!
Freshly dizzied out we all made our way along the beach to the Sea Horse - stopping for a couple pics along the way. I managed to work my way around the room, hunting stories, before I left them to their dinner and hopped on my bike to cycle along the sea home to edit the gallery. Brighton weddings - I have travelled the world and you will always remain my favourite.
