Manorbier Castle - West Wales Wedding

Manorbier Castle

I find myself travelling to Wales a handful of times a year and it has rapidly become my favourite place in the world to capture weddings. The wedding of Bex (she/her) and Andrew (he/him) in Manorbier Castle was no exception. This romantic Norman Castle sits just 100 yards away from the beach and offers the most unique setting for a wedding. It’s festival meets medieval. The vaulted chapel is licensed for weddings - but B&A chose to have their bezzie marry them in a super intimate and special ceremony. After the ceremony we took a stroll down to the beach to hang out with their gorgeous pup, before heading back to the castle to enjoy a relaxed day of food trucks, space hoppers, very emotional speeches and a killer pop-punk band.

West Wales weddings have my heart

Every time I visit this beautiful part of the world I spend a few days in the lead up in my camper-van, Melon. This trip was the first time I discovered Three Cliffs Bay in Gower (the greatest campsite to ever exist?!) and it’s now my staple stop off every time I traverse the Prince Charles Bridge. I’ve learnt to expect rain no matter what the forecast says - but have learnt that it’s usually dispersed with a bit of sun too. If you’ve not made it out this way I can’t recommend it enough. The beaches rival those in Thailand and you don’t have to fly 14 hours to get to them…
